Valentine’s day

Valentine's Day, February 14th, is celebrated in many countries as a day for lovers. Couples take this opportunity to exchange sweet words, gifts, and flowers as tokens of their affection.

Indeed, tradition dictates that on Valentine's Day, a loved one gives their sweetheart a beautiful bouquet of flowers. The primary, and most logical, reason is that flowers are always appreciated, smell wonderful, and add a touch of beauty to a home. It's also a simple and easy gesture of affection.

The red rose, the emblem of passion, is certainly the most popular flower given on Valentine's Day, but any other red flower will also express your romantic feelings.

At BOYA, we have created the "Scarlet Camaïeu" bouquet, composed of various shades of red, embodied by seasonal flowers, including the red rose.

If you can't bring flowers to your loved one yourself, have a BOYA "Camaïeu écarlate" bouquet sent, composed of red flowers and red roses. We guarantee delivery of your bouquet on Valentine's Day throughout Paris and the inner suburbs.

May 1st and the lily of the valley - SYMBOL OF HAPPINESS AND LUCK

Lily of the valley, or common lily of the valley (Convallaria majalis), is a species of perennial herbaceous plant native to temperate regions. Its small, white, spring flowers form clusters of highly fragrant bell-shaped blossoms.

The tradition of giving lily of the valley on May 1st dates back to the Renaissance, when Charles IX offered it to those around him in 1561 as a good luck charm. During the Belle Époque, leading French couturiers gave a sprig of lily of the valley to their seamstresses and clients on May 1st. Christian Dior made it the emblem of his fashion house. From then on, this May 1st custom became a national holiday in France.
